DLA Piper Chile adds new partner
With the aim of strengthening the tax area of DLA Piper Chile, Amory Heine joins DLA Piper Chile as a new partner effective November 2nd.
Ms. Heine has more than 17 years of experience in tax matters. She has been a partner at Rojas y Cía. since 2012, the firm from which she joined DLA Piper. Previously, she worked as a lawyer in the tax groups of BaraonaMarré Abogados and Carey y Cía., as well as a specialist lawyer at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
She holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Master’s degree in Tax Law from the Universidad de Chile and has several postgraduate degrees, such as the Diploma in Tax Litigation and Tax Auditing from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Ms. Heine was appointed member of the Board of Experts of the Chilean Bar Association, in the area of Tax Law, for her outstanding professional career and contribution to this discipline.
In her professional life, she has concentrated her practice in tax law, advising clients, both Chilean and foreign, in corporate and personal tax planning, on inbound and outbound matters. She has participated in the structuring of businesses and companies in Chile and abroad. She also has experience in representing clients in audits and litigation with the Internal Revenue Service (Servicio de Impuestos Internos), before the Tax and Customs Courts, the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.
